lingerie for girlfriend?
I am trying to determine what kind of lingerie to get for my girlfriend of about 5 months for valentines day. She’s 23 and is a size 36D, I guess a normal size girl. Brown hair, brown eyes, and light to medium toned skin. Also are push up bras appropriate for larger breasted woman?

Anyway I’d like to get her something a bit sexier as she usually just wears plain old bras and underwear. I am leaning towards either purple (which i know she likes) or black. Of these options I am considering which is your favorite?

http://yfrog.com/jnpurplefullsetj (Full set)

One of these bras in either black or bright purple with one of the corresponding black or purple panties:
Bra 1 which is a pushup (either black or purple): purple or black
Bra 2 non pushup (black only): http://yfrog.com/0ibrablackj

Panties 1 Cheeky (Black): http://yfrog.com/11cheekypantyblackj
Panties 2 (Black or purple): http://yfrog.com/5bblackhiphuggerj
http://yfrog.com/6dpurplehiphuggerj

I think those hiphuggers are cute too just prefer the cheeky style, ladies what are your thoughts? Thanks so much for the help!

I really messed up freshmen/sophomore year…?
I was accepted into a pretty challenging high school or so I’ve heard…
In freshmen year, I was taking math high honors, english honors, history honors, spanish h, religion, biology.
But I really screwed up freshmen year and some of my classes went down. In sophomore year, i moved down from math high honors to just honors classes, english honors to cp, history stayed the same, bio to chem, but still cp, and spanish and religion (has no level classes) stayed the same. It is already the start of the second semester and I am really trying hard now, but do you feel that there is definitely no chance of getting into any ap classes or many choices of colleges? My school has this curriculum guide/rulebook in which in junior year, there is only a cp level, honors level, and off to ap levels. That may make it slightly easier to level up in a way. Is it too late for anything now? If I try really hard and get all A’s do you think, even with my classes, there is even a possibilty of allowing me to get into any of top ranking colleges? (I get all of stress from my family, considering that I am Korean and they are all supposed to be "geniuses" [no rude stereotyping intended])
Thank you!!

Wow, school is getting to be a little too stressful these days. I say transfer to a crappier school and be the smartest there, rather than the average at the super stellar brainy school! Colleges look at GPAs yes, but unless you go to a local university or your high school has a big Alumni group that donates money all over the country, the universities you look into aren’t going to know that your school was "pretty challenging" and required acceptance. A 4.0 GPA from a crappy public high school in a state with horrible education programs is going to look exactly the same as a 4.0 GPA from a fancy private high school in the Hamptons.

Study up on and do a great job on the PSAT (or whatever test they make you take now) and try to have fun. I practically flunked out of high school but got my entire freshman year of college taken care of by acing my AP exams.
People learn differently. My BFF 4-eva in high school had a 4.5 (we used to be able to have higher than 4.0s if we were AP level) in classwork, but got the lowest scores I’ve ever seen on her SAT and ACT. But she was really good at writing essays too, which are a big deal to a lot of colleges.

I say you don’t look at what "yahoo answers" have to say and go talk to a trusted school counselor about your future.

V for Vendetta age question?
I might not be able to see it. I’m 14 and it’s rated R, but is it really that bad? I’ve seen clips and the trailers and I know there’s violence. I’ve seen the Transformers movies, all the x-men including origins: Wolverine, and the Harry Potter movies. I’ve also seen New Moon so do you think I’d be able to watch it?
Natalie Portman is one of my favorite actresses since I’ve seen her in Star Wars and Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, so I told my Mom I wanted to see it and showed her a trailer and she said they would "look into it." I’m positive there’s no nudity because it doesn’t say so and Natalie has only been ‘partially nude’ in Closer and I’ve never seen that movie. I just read her biography and she doesn’t do that stuff. Opinion?
Also, was it a good movie? The rating is pretty good.
Thanks so much guys..Yeah I know about the issues in it. It looks really GOOD.

It has some violent portions. But, no more than what you could see on TV. Some of the scenes are of torture and may be psychologically hard to watch. But, the movie is very deep in concepts and well done. Like "Saving Private Ryan" I think a 14 year old would be shocked by the graphic nature of the movie but would benefit from the concepts presented in the movie. V for Vendetta is about not becoming sheep farmed by the government and ruled by fear. If you watch the news, listen to the news, listen to politicians and talk show host then you hear nothing but fear mongering. According to them, you should do what they say due to fear. V for Vendetta shows what can happen if you remember, and remind everyone, that politicians, police and the armed forces work for the people. Not the other way around. See the movie.

ontopofoldsmokie | Jan 09, 2010

its probly rated r cause it has ideals in it that could damage a young mind, 14 should b fine though.
it was an amazing movie btw.
sniper68 | Jan 09, 2010

Here in the UK it’s rated 15, so yes I think you should be able to see it. I disagree with a lot of censorship anyway though. In my opinion 14 is old enough to see most films (based on myself when I was 14).

It’s pretty good.
M M | Jan 09, 2010

Too violent for minors, and it it shows partial nudity, "V for Vendetta" is a dystopia which is a distorted and pesimistic vission of the future in which England is a tyrany where nobody is allowed to think different than the government.
Paul Preston | Jan 09, 2010

Because of the nature of violence and story it would appeal to guys more than girls. She’s tortured, hence the skin.

Gandhi

Gandhi
Gandhi (1982)

IMDB rating: 8.20

Plot: When ‘Mahatma Gandhi’ (qv) first set foot in British India, he had already been to Britain and South Africa, and had created quite a stir for the betterment of the people. But in India, he realized that he had first to live the life of a peasant to understand what it is to be an Indian. This resolve will lead him to shed his westerners clothing, and don a simple loincloth, be subjected to racial slurs from none other than Winston Churchill (Half naked Indian Fakir); Mobilize awareness of local industry and less dependence on imported clothing and material; the historic dandee march for withdrawal of the salt tax; a fast unto death to stop the virtual slaughter of British troops by irate Indian mobs; and be imprisoned several times. His resolve was to work with stalwarts such as Mohammed Ali Jinnah, Sardar Valabhbhai Patel, Professor Gokhale, J.B. Kripalani, Maulana Azad, and Pandit Jawarharlal Nehru to ensure first of all to get the British to quit India, and then run an Indian Government under the Congress party. Gandhi will soon realize that it is not enough to be just an Indian, for India has many facets - Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Jewish, and Christian. The British relied on these many facets as an excuse for their continuance as they wanted to ensure that the minorities are not oppressed by the Hindu majority. Concerned over the inroads made by Gandhi to unite the Hindus, Muslims, and all others under a common umbrella, the British invited Jinnah for talks, and it is here that a seed was laid for a separate country called Pakistan. When Gandhi came to know about this, he pleaded with Jinnah to unite the Muslims, even take over as the first Prime Minister with his choice of Muslim candidates for Parliament, but separatist Jinnah had already made his mind. The World Wars of 1914 and 1944 having taken it’s toll on Europe and Britain in particular, the weary British finally decided to leave India in 1947 - not the India they had conquered - but an India that was ready to be divided in East Pakistan and West Pakistan. Now after the much awaited independence was the real test for Gandhi - a test that will make him or break him - as he started a fast unto death to try and stop the violence that was threatening to break out into a civil war, not realizing that he had indirectly fanned Hindu extremism, which would later be called the Shiv Sena, into taking the matter directly in their hands to ensure that Muslims are kept out of their Hindustan forever.

Presidential assassinations of U.S. citizens!?
http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/glenn_ greenwald/2010/01/27/yemen/index.html

After the Sept. 11 attacks, Bush gave the CIA, and later the military, authority to kill U.S. citizens abroad if strong evidence existed that an American was involved in organizing or carrying out terrorist actions against the United States or U.S. interests, military and intelligence

The Obama administration has adopted the same stance

anyone care to explain whats wrong with this?

We cant kill him, but he can kill us. Not quite fair.
Beefcake | Jan 31, 2010

As an American you should be guaranteed access to a fair trial in a civilian court.

But then, the police are allowed to kill someone if they suspect they are committing a serious crime. That happens in every city in the country. So what’s the difference? Just that one is committing a crime in a foreign country, and one is committing a crime on American soil. They can both end up "assassinated."

Where can I find DVD's or VHS's of quasi -classic French and Italian films of the 60's and 70's?
There were dozens of endeariing moves during the 60’s and 70’s such as "Dear Detective," "Come Have Some Coffee with Us" and "What Now My Love" that are nowhere to be found. There are also some strange works like "Investigation of a Citizien Above Suspicion" and "Bird with the Crystal Plumage" that have disappeared in the U.S. (as far as I can determine).
Many of the films in this category are from noted directors, feature top performers and extraordinary soundtracks. There are even several Academy Award contenders, yet they are unknown and unavailable here.
Can anyone suggest a source or vendor?

In the UK there is Moviemail, which stocks vast numbers of this type of film.

www.moviemail-online.co.uk

Be warned though, they are often region 2 (or sometimes region 0). NTSC region 1 are not available except in very rare cases. Why? Apparently because your tastes are so rare in the USA it isn’t worthwhile distributing them. So get a multi-region DVD player.

I also noted that you gave all the titles in English. Most of these will be French or Italian titled, with English sub-titles (only rarely an alternate English sound track). Why? See above.

But if like us you really do love these movies, then all this won’t matter.

Enjoy.

Pokemon Platinum. Best Moveset for Roserade?
I’m thinking
Item: Heat Stone (sunny day lasts longer)
Sunny Day
Solar Beam (no need to charge in sun)
Sludge Bomb
Synthesis (revives 2/3 in sun)
This moveset has sweep worthy speical attack moves, allows me to revive a good portion of hp at once and gives a boost to my infernape’s fire moves but would take longer to execute and could be interupted.

or

Item:Big Root (gain more hp from hp stealing moves)
Giga Drain
Energy Ball/???
Leech Seed
Sludge Bomb
This moveset would take a shorter time gaining hp automaticly with leech seed and giga drain while doing damage and frees up a moveslot for energyball or another move.

Which moveset should I pick?
And suggest another moveset that would be better?

I am against useing moves like weather ball or hidden power(fire) because I will just switch to my infernape if I want to use a fire move. Thanks.

I would say the first one is a very good choice for special sweeping but if the opponent knows what you are going to use (sunny day) they could have a chance to switch to something that will counter roserade such as a staraptor and if you switched to infernape they could be super effective against him 2. as he is half fighting type…. so try to think of a way around that.
